Introducing California's Only
Graded Stakes-Winning Son Of Dynaformer

A $423,836-Earner Who Won Or Placed
In 11 Black-Type Races On Dirt & Turf
In Kentucky, New York, Florida & New Jersey

Defeated Multiple G1 Winners
English Channel & Student Council

DRUM MAJOR entered the California stallion ranks in 2010 as a promising sire prospect who competed with the best and always gave his best during a distinguished racing career.

DRUM MAJOR made 25 starts from the ages of 2 to 7 for the successful Dogwood Stable syndicate, compiling career earnings of $423,836 while traveling to 11 different racetracks across the country. Among his 20 outings in stakes company were 12 races at the graded stakes level; from those attempts, he won or placed in 11 black-type races on dirt and turf in Kentucky, New York, Florida and New Jersey.

DRUM MAJOR broke his maiden at first asking, dominating a one-mile turf race for 2-year-olds at Belmont Park by 4 1/4 lengths and defeating the eventual dual Grade 1 winner Student Council and 10 other rivals in the process. He next responded to an immediate jump in class with a third-place finish in the track's grassy, 1 1/8-mile Pilgrim Stakes for juveniles.

DRUM MAJOR switched to the dirt at Gulfstream Park for his 3-year-old debut in the $125,000 Aventura Stakes, a one-mile test in which he ran second to subsequent Florida Derby (G1) winner High Fly. Later in the year, he upset the 2007 Eclipse Champion Turf Horse English Channel and the six-time graded stakes winner Spring House in a pair of one-mile allowance victories on the turf at Gulfstream and Meadowlands, then secured third in Churchill Downs' $174,900 Commonwealth Turf Stakes at 1 1/16 miles before he closed out his sophomore campaign with a rousing, come-from-behind win in the $100,000 Pete Axthelm Stakes, a 7 1/2-furlong turf test at Calder Race Course.

DRUM MAJOR was a mainstay in the elite grass division at 4, a season which yielded a victory in Aqueduct's 1 1/8-mile Knickerbocker Handicap (G3) and Gulfstream's one-mile Lure Stakes, as well as placings in the Appleton Handicap (G3) and Tropical Turf Handicap (G3) in Florida. As an older horse, he added placings in two Grade 2 races at Saratoga Race Course and in a Monmouth Park stakes event, all on turf, to his impressive portfolio before he was retired to stud with an overall record of six wins, three seconds and six thirds.

DRUM MAJOR is the only graded stakes-winning son of Dynaformer standing in California. A dual Grade 2 winner by European champion Roberto, Dynaformer is one of the most respected stallions in the Bluegrass, and currently commands a $150,000 fee, thanks to his remarkable sire record. He has more than 110 stakes winners to his credit, including 49 graded stakes winners and 15 millionaires, and boasts total progeny earnings of more than $92 million from his 18 crops to race. Among his 18 Grade 1 winners are the legendary 2006 Kentucky Derby (G1) hero Barbaro ($2,302,200), the durable gelding Perfect Drift ($4,714,213) and a string of top recent runners such as Film Maker, Riskaverse, Sand Springs, Dynaforce, Starrer, Purim and the European champions Lucarno and Rainbow View, as well as the 2010 American Oaks (G1) winner Harmonious.

DRUM MAJOR also offers sire power on the distaff side of his pedigree. Produced by the undefeated, multiple stakes winner Endless Parade, he hails from the family of the leading Mid-Atlantic stallion Two Punch, a proven veteran whose progeny earnings have topped $1 million for 18 consecutive years.

DRUM MAJOR entered stud this year at E.A. Ranches in Santa Ysabel, California. His introductory 2010 fee is $4,000, live foal guarantee.
