his only start at 2 by 5 1/2 lengths and the first three of his four starts
at 3--an allowance race by 6 lengths followed by graded stakes by 3 1/2
and 5 lengths, a total winning margin of 20 lengths for those four victories.

that he didn't win, finishing second in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Handicap--beaten
