Dr. Richard Tramp, who served at Old English Rancho for 20 years, is the resident veterinarian at Irish Oaks. Dr. Tramp is a specialist in foaling and managing troubled mares. Irish Oaks has a long history of sending quality runners to the races, including Melair ($336,500, Grade 2 winner, California champion sprinter and 3-year-old filly, track-record setter at Hollywood Park), Lady George ($311,683, California champion 2-year-old filly), Bold Brawley (track-record setter at Del Mar), and many others. Irish Oaks, a great place for mares, foals, and layups. A quiet, relaxed, serene atmosphere with expert handling by skilled, experienced staff. Our yearling trainer and breaker, Salvador DeAlba, has 25 years experience in his field.
