Dr. Richard Tramp, who served at Old English Rancho for 20 years, is the resident veterinarian at Irish Oaks. Dr. Tramp is a specialist in foaling and managing troubled mares.

Irish Oaks has a long history of sending quality runners to the races, including Melair ($336,500, Grade 2 winner, California champion sprinter and 3-year-old filly, track-record setter at Hollywood Park), Lady George ($311,683, California champion 2-year-old filly), Bold Brawley (track-record setter at Del Mar), and many others.

Irish Oaks, a great place for mares, foals, and layups. A quiet, relaxed, serene atmosphere with expert handling by skilled, experienced staff. Our yearling trainer and breaker, Salvador DeAlba, has 25 years experience in his field.

Irish Oaks is the home of Bouccaneer (Fr), chestnut, 1995, by Hero's Honor out of Shahoune, by Blushing Groom (Fr). His 2008 fee is $1,000, live foal.
