LIT DE JUSTICE was one of the fastest horses of recent years. He won at distances up to a mile and a sixteenth, but he was dominant at 7 furlongs and under. He won or placed in 11 sprint stakes, nine of them graded.
LIT DE JUSTICE set a track record at Santa Anita--5 1/2 furlongs in 1:01 4/5--and equalled a track record at Del Mar--7 furlongs in 1:20.
LIT DE JUSTICE's runners have earned more than $19.8 million overall, with average earnings per starter of more than $65,000 - the fourth-highest average among all active California stallions. He has sired more than 230 winners in his lifetime, while maintaining an excellent Average Earnings Index of 1.33.
LIT DE JUSTICE has achieved progeny earnings in excess of $1 million every year since 2001, including more than $3 million in both 2003 and 2004, more than $1.9 million in 2007, more than $1.8 million in 2008 and more than $1.5 million in 2009. His five California-conceived crops have collectively earned more than $3.8 million to date.
LIT DE JUSTICE sires soundness, as indicated by his lifetime average of more than 22 starts per runner. Many of his offspring are exceptionally durable: 25 of his runners have started 50 or more times - eight of those horses have made 60 or more starts, five have made 70 or more starts and one veteran has answered the call to post a remarkable 147 times.
LIT DE JUSTICE has sired 36 black-type horses, including No Parole ($555,067; stakes winner, placed in three graded races), Silver Bird ($567,538; stakes winner, placed in four graded races), La Salle Glory ($520,473), Hour of Justice ($484,608; Royal North Handicap-G3, etc.), Injustice ($446,540; Azeri Breeders’ Cup Stakes-G3, etc.) and the 2009 stakes winners Bestdressed ($354,821) and Lit’sgoodlookngray ($350,112).
