Welcome to our newest Showcase stallion: Makaleha!
Thank you to Calpalm Thoroughbreds of Grants Pass, Oregon, for adding their stallion, Makaleha, to our Showcase!
A six-time stakes winner and track record-setter, Makaleha earned $234,135 while competing in California from the ages of 2 to 5. He won his racing debut by a jaw-dropping 10 lengths, then went on to win or place in 22 of 27 starts overall, while racking up victories on both dirt and turf. He exhibited versatility by winning at distances from five furlongs to 1 1/8 miles.
The 22-year-old son of Never Tabled offers a rare link to some of Thoroughbred racing's most time-tested bloodlines, with important sires such as Drone, Nasrullah, Round Table and Sir Gaylord present within the first three generations of his pedigree.
Makaleha has sired the collective earners of more than $2 million, including two stakes horses, and he is represented by lifetime average earnings per starter of more than $22,000. In 2010, he is standing his first breeding season in Oregon for a $650 fee.
