Cahill Road entered stud in 1992.

 

He is Washington’s leading active sire by lifetime progeny earnings. His runners have earned more than $19,500,000, collectively. To date, he is represented by more than 290 winners of more than 1,000 races.

 

His first Washington-bred crop are foals of 2001; 27 of them are winners, including Washington champion Spanish Highway, Oregon champion Tom Won, stakes winners Melba Jewel and Polo Bender and stakes-placed Shuswap Road, Coker Road and La Patriotte.

 

He has sired 24 winners from his second Washington crop, including back-to-back Longacres Mile (G3) winners The Great Face (2007) and Wasserman (2008) and stakes winners Ashby Hill and Maybefirst.

 

There are 22 winners from his third Washington crop, including stakes winners Mighty Cahill and Country Vision; 17 winners from his fourth local crop, including stakes-placed Deadly Zone and The Cahill Special; and 12 winners from his fifth Washington crop, including stakes-placed Road Risk and Mimis Road Warrior.

 

His sixth Washington-conceived crop, who debuted as 2-year-olds in 2008, features 17 winners, including the stakes winner Out and stakes-placed Alpakapaluza, Kitty Mac and Mackee Can. He also has 11 winners from his seventh Washington crop, who are 3-year-olds of 2010, led by the stakes winner Sis’s Sis.

 

The combined earnings of his eight Washington crops total more than $5,000,000, with 130 locally conceived winners.

 

Overall, Cahill Road is represented by 53 stakes horses, including 30 stakes winners. He boasts lifetime average earnings per starter of more than $45,000.
