Sought After entered stud in 2003.

From his first five crops of racing age, he has excelled with the limited opportunities he was given. He has sired 17 winners from 26 starters to date (65%), and has cumulative progeny earnings of more than $640,000.

In 2008, he was represented by a pair of stakes horses in Southern California, as well as a 2-year-old gelding who set a track record in his debut at Golden Gate Fields. In 2009, his 2-year-old filly Seeking the Queen was undefeated from three starts at Golden Gate.

Sought After was California’s third-leading freshman sire of 2006 and ranked second among California’s freshman sires in Sire Production Index ratings (1.60) that year. He has lifetime average earnings per starter of more than $24,000.
