Swiss Yodeler entered stud in 1999.

He is perennially among California’s leading sires, with more than 310 winners and runners who have earned more than $20,500,000, collectively. His chief earner is 2006 Eclipse Champion Sprinter Thor’s Echo, who has won two Grade 1 races and banked $2,461,490.

From 2003 through 2008, his annual progeny earnings topped more than $2,000,000 each year.

In 2006, he was the leading overall sire in California by money won ($4,880,827) and the state’s top sire of 2-year-olds, with $1,072,052 in progeny earnings for that age group. He repeated his success with his juveniles again in 2008, and ended the year as the state’s leading sire of 2-year-olds with progeny earnings of $486,379. In 2009, he had 17 juvenile winners and $533,736 in progeny earnings from that age group.

His Average Earnings Index is 1.10, and is better than his Comparable Index of 1.06, which measures the quality of the other runners out of the dams of his runners. The average earnings of his 448 starters are more than $45,000.

From nine crops of racing age, Swiss Yodeler has sired 63 stakes horses, 37 of whom are black-type.
