Sea of Secrets won the Grade 2 San Vicente Stakes at Santa Anita in his first start at 3 following an undefeated 2-year-old season. Later in his 3-year-old season, he won an allowance race at Hollywood Park by 8 1/2 lengths. At 4, he placed in Santa Anita's Tokyo City Handicap.
Sea of Secrets was California's leading sire of 2-year-old winners in 2006, with 26, led by Principle Secret, a Grade 2 winner of $187,820 as a juvenile. He is the sire of 31 stakes horses overall, including 2009 Distaff Handicap (G2) winner Secret Gypsy.
Sea of Secrets is a son of the breed-shaping stallion Storm Cat, sire of more than 100 graded stakes winners and the collective earners of more than $117 million, including eight international champions.
Sea of Secrets is out of a Mr. Prospector mare who is the dam of four graded stakes winners and a graded stakes-placed winner, one of them the dam of multiple Grade 1 winner Society Selection ($1,984,200) - an exceptional producer.
