New To California In 2016!
A Multiple Graded Stakes-Placed Performer
From The Powerful A.P. Indy Sire Line

Durable Route Winner From Ages 2-8

Classy Hall Of Fame Family Of La Troienne
Featuring Champions & Plenty Of Sire Power

STIMULUS PLAN, is a promising first-year stallion who brings to California precocity, durability and a pedigree boasting pure sire power on both top and bottom.

STIMULUS PLAN exhibited his natural talent right out of the gate. After breaking his maiden at Woodbine by eight lengths in his second start at 2, he was tested against the best of his generation in Canada's historic Grey Stakes (G3), a 1 1/16-mile race in which he rallied gamely from last to finish third, just one length behind victorious Mine That Bird, the subsequent winner of the 2009 Kentucky Derby (G1). He shipped south for his next start, again charging from last to run third in Delta Downs' $750,000 Delta Jackpot Stakes (G3) and closing out his juvenile campaign with a $155,964 bankroll.

STIMULUS PLAN put together an admirable cross-country career over the next seven seasons, winning a total of 11 races on dirt and all-weather surfaces in Canada, Florida, Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia, and specializing at distances of a mile or more. At 5, he placed in three consecutive stakes races at Calder Race Course: the $100,000 Fred W. Hooper Handicap (G3) at 1 1/8 miles, the $100,000 Spend a Buck Handicap (G3) at 1 1/16 miles and the $75,000 Darn That Alarm Handicap at 1 1/16 miles on a sloppy track, displaying his patented late run in each to finish with interest. After 68 lifetime starts, the durable runner retired at 9 with overall earnings of $299,632.

STIMULUS PLAN offers mare owners the opportunity to tap into one of North America's most desirable sire lines. As a direct male descendant of Horse of the Year Seattle Slew and his Horse of the Year son, A.P. Indy, he is the only stallion by Grade 2 winner Jump Start available to breeders on the West Coast. A perennial leading sire in the Mid-Atlantic region, Jump Start is represented by international progeny earnings of more than $43 million, with annual progeny earnings exceeding $4 million for seven of the past eight years. Among his 40-plus stakes winners to date are Hollywood Gold Cup Handicap (G1) winner Rail Trip, the multiple graded stakes-winning millionaires Pants On Fire and Prayer for Relief and the 2015 Argentina Group 1 winners Dona Joya (Arg) and Seresta (Arg). Adding to his credentials, Jump Start's dam is out of a full sister to the leading broodmare sire Miswaki.

STIMULUS PLAN also carries deep bloodlines in his female family, which traces back directly to the influential broodmare La Troienne (Fr). His graded stakes-producing third dam, a half-sister to the three-time champion and Racing Hall of Fame honoree Affectionately out of the Hall of Fame mare Searching, produced 1993 Broodmare of the Year Glowing Tribute, the matriarch of a rich family branch that features Kentucky Derby winner Sea Hero, Kentucky Oaks (G1) heroine Lite Light, European Champion Sprinter Mozart (Ire) and the notable modern sires Congrats, Flatter, Roar and Eastern Echo, among other elite horses.

STIMULUS PLAN entered stud in 2016 at Richill Farms in Phelan, California. His first foals will arrive in 2017.
