Here's what the Showcase stallion directory offers:
1. A position on a popular Internet
destination--well over 20,000 visits and more than 130,000 page views per
month. Your website is composed and maintained by a professional journalist
with years of experience as a breeder, owner, and bloodstock agent and
in Thoroughbred advertising and reporting (Don Engel), always following
the advice of the stallion owner on content. We provide all the research
required, at our expense.
2. Unlimited space-absolutely all you
can use. That's one of the great advantages of the Internet over print
advertising, where you pay more for more space. The Showcase stallions
stay up on the Internet all the time, all year. It's not like a print ad
that runs once and disappears.
3. Constant monitoring of Showcase
sires' runners. Every day of the year we check stakes results and maiden
winners and update websites accordingly, in addition to separately following
dozens of individual runners. Clients don't have to concern themselves
with telling us about new developments on the track. They can be confident
that we'll see them and update their websites.
4. Promotional stories on our Showcase
Updates page. Although the stories here are promotional, they are written
as news stories. Evidently they're interesting, because the Showcase Updates
page is one of the most-viewed of the many on our website. (See the explanation
below.) These promotional stories are always accompanied by an updating
of the stallion's website to incorporate the new developments.
5. Immediate updates. If you want to
change something on your website, just let us know-phone, fax, or e-mail-and
we'll make the change within hours. Not days, but hours. We post updates
to our website every day in the early evening, and any change you tell
us about will be posted that evening.
6. That unlimited space mentioned above
makes it possible for Showcase stallion websites to show every blacktype
horse under the first three dams of the horse's female family. If it's
a great female family of the quality that you're proud of, stallion registers-both
printed and Internet-just can't show all the good horses. We can, and we
do.
7. Regular updates of sire records
and female families.
About the promotional stories . . . We
can't write a story about every winner, for two reasons: That would take
so much time that we'd have to charge a lot more than $300 a year, and
because a story about every horse that won a race, no matter how cheap,
would dilute the impact of the stories and cause the whole project to lose
credibility. So the races that qualify or those promotional stories are
these:
a. Every win by a runner by a sire with
no more than two crops of racing age.
b. Every allowance win by a runner by
a sire with no more than three crops of racing age.
c. Every blacktype stakes win or stakes
placing, always.
And that's what you get for your money. We know that nobody can match
it.
