     Ina has spent her life with horses. Starting with show horses, she received her degree in Equine Studies from Bennett College. She first started working at Belmont Park in 1977, working her way up from hotwalker, groom, rider, and obtained her assistant trainers license in 1981. Among other she has worked for trainers Laz Barrera, Mack Miller, Angel  Penna Jr., Mike Whittingham, Hap Proctor, Dick Mandella, Nick Zito and John Kimmel. Ina has made a study of different trainers and their methods to come to her own style of training and breaking. Ina specializes in developing young horses and optimizing their value with training and management as to reach their highest potential. Ina’s focus is finding and developing stake horses with the goal of having a top-class stable yet remaining small enough to give all the horses individual attention, so each horse gets its individual needs cared for without “falling through the cracks”.
