TANNERSMYMAN was a precocious and versatile runner who won from the distances of 5 1/2 furlongs to 1 1/16 miles. Stakes-placed at six furlongs as a 2-year-old, he returned at 3 to capture a 1 1/16-mile Northern California stakes race by 5 1/2 lengths.
TANNERSMYMAN represents the prominent Raise a Native sire line, and is a direct male descendant of his most important son, Mr. Prospector, through the influential sire Carson City. His dam, a dual stakes-placed winner by the outstanding broodmare sire Deputy Minister, is a multiple stakes producer.
