PRIVATE GOLD was a racehorse - a racehorse with pedigree, top and bottom.

PRIVATE GOLD was a precocious runner who captured the $100,000 James C. Ellis Juvenile Stakes, finished second to undefeated Eclipse Champion Vindication in the Grade 3 Kentucky Cup Juvenile Stakes and was weighted on the Experimental Free Handicap at 2. He returned at 3 to win the $100,000 Rushaway Stakes. In all, he won or placed in five stakes races from 13 starts, and retired with earnings of $208,047.

PRIVATE GOLD carries on one of the great sire lines in Thoroughbred history: Native Dancer to Raise a Native to Mr. Prospector to Seeking the Gold. His sire is a Grade 1-winning millionaire who is credited with more than 90 stakes winners and the collective earners of more than $92 million. Seeking the Gold is also a proven sire of sires, and counts Cape Town, Petionville, Mutakddim and Dubai Millennium among his successful sons at stud.

PRIVATE GOLD is a half-brother to the stakes winners Stem the Tide ($405,093), Private Jet ($257,117) and Gottcha Last ($111,488), and to the stakes-placed winners Shuttered ($226,918) and Cancun Ruler. His female family boasts 40 stakes horses in the first three dams.

PRIVATE GOLD was represented by his first runners in 2008. He concluded that year as the leading freshman sire in Washington by progeny earnings. His initial crop yielded the stakes winners Bleu Tarp and He's All Heart, as well as two additional stakes horses.

PRIVATE GOLD repeated his reign as the state's leading second-crop sire of 2009. His second crop features six stakes horses, led by the dual stakes winner Zenovit ($120,948), who was named the 2010 Washington Champion 3-Year-Old Filly.

PRIVATE GOLD continued to dominate his generation as Washington's leading third-crop sire of 2010, with year-end progeny earnings of $463,038. His third crop features the stakes winners Mack's Gold Bullet and Special Holiday.

PRIVATE GOLD is represented by 13 stakes horses overall, lifetime average earnings per starter of more than $18,000 and total progeny earnings of more than $1.4 million to date.
